AR + AI = future of cooking (I might finally avoid burning my pizza)

So we've gone from "the future of cooking" to "a medical device for people with disabilities."

Honestly I think you've made my point for me. This tech could be transformational for folks with disabilities, like so many pieces of tech that have improved accessibility in the past. I mean, motorized wheelchairs alone have given so many millions of people the gift of freedom of movement. Similarly it's not hard to imagine AR tech like this facilitating everyday activities for folks with mobility issues or cognitive disabilities.

But wouldn't you think it somewhat pathetic if a bunch of able-bodied people started relying on motorized wheelchairs in place of walking? In the same vein, I think it's somewhat pathetic that a bunch of able-bodied people need to wear cameras on their head so a software engineer can tell them where to put blobs of cookie dough on a sheet pan.

I appreciate you speaking up for accessibility, but if we get to a point where able-bodied people become reliant on accessibility tech to perform very basic everyday tasks, I would call that a type of dystopia.
