Rant

You know why so many here are depressed? Because they have shitty jobs and/or shitty jobs and to be frank, either don't the guts or the brains to get a better job.

You know what I did when I started hating my sys admin job? Got a new one. 4-5 months later I hated that one, so I got an even better one working from home.

I put in a ton of effort looking, interviewed well, nailed the tech test.

I see so many threads about them not getting paid enough, being bored, etc. Well you know what? That is your fault. We all know that we are not firefighters. We are not the most important dept or the most important staff member. Everyone sees you as the "IT guy" and nothing more. No one understands tech, but even if they did, let's not pretend its laborious work.

Point is, you don't do as much as you think you do if you honestly step back and look, and if you are staying late all the time, working weekends, well to be honest you are a chump.

Stop complaining, suck it up, and get a better job for fucks sake.
