Why are you (or why are you not) invested in Canadian cannabis companies?

Ill preface by saying the money I have invested would be categorized as fun money. It comes from the same pool of money that I'd spend on drinks at the bar. This is because I know that it's a high risk and high volatility market- it's quite obvious, and there are many unknowns. That said, as a younger investor (relative), I want to get my feet wet with higher risk markets. It may burn me, it may not. It's a learning experience that is fully worth the possible losses.

So what are my reasons? Well, many successful investors say to invest in what you know. Because I work under an agricultural umbrella, I like to believe that I have valuable insight on the emerging cannabis industry. Not specifically to the tone of the science of how cannabis works- THC and yada yada yada yada. More so to do with the overall agricultural side of producing, such as cost of production, pricing and the pricing strategies, logistics and supply chain. It's fairly straightforward for me when it comes down to evaluating the feasibility of a project or any wild claims that a company might make. Many of them do make wild claims, while some are quite realistic.

I know that there are 2 camps:

1) you're dumb if you invest in cannabis, or

2) you're dumb if you don't invest.

In the end, your money is yours, and my money is mine. I have my reasons, and you have yours. Fair enough.
