Are conservatives/conservative policies unempathetic?

Conservatives empathy runs out after the family. Conservatives think everyone is able to pick themselves up by their bootstraps. Y'all love to pride yourself on "equality" but you totally forget about something much important- equity.

Conservatism is the ideology is maintain the status quo. Under American Capitalism there will always be a massive wealth inequality. I think there is a disconnect when a lot of conservatives think a billionaire deserves a billion dollars because they "earned it" (through capital and the exploration of workers) and they also think the kid who was born into absolute poverty (the same kid that conservatives want to be forced to be born) doesn't deserve much (if any) government help.

conservatives value their own personal freedom more than the welfare of all of the citizens of the country. So yes, I think there is a lack of empathy from conservatives. Especially to those who were not born as privileged as them.
