Why are so many against bill C-51?

I think the thing that everyone is forgetting is that this bill is about what information can be used by law in Canada.

But everything that everyone does online is collected globally en masse now and is used without consent already...Absolutely everything. It just can't be "legally" used under many circumstances.
I am constantly amazed that people think that transmission of any digital or analog information isn't actively collected all the time, and that they are unaware there are no secure lines of communication unless you are truly tech savvy (but even those methods probably have back doors).

The collection of data outside of this country is ongoing through the known entities of "5 eyes" (which has expanded) and most web traffic crosses borders therefore this bill doesn't change the data collection issue and honestly it never will. Just ask Snowden. Look up Echelon

If you want secure information transmission you have to control the entire process, from power generation to the lines to the code you use and if you have more than one person in the loop then your security is eventually compromised.

And that's the rub..People generally feel they have rights online but in reality they have all fallen for the BS because most have been born into it, have willingly plugged themselves into the system and are unable to unplug.

Do you have a Facebook or any other social media account? Have you ever used a computer online? A smartphone? You are part of the data collection system already.

This bill is theatre...I don't know what end it serves but it is irrelevant in the macro picture of planetary government data collection and communication.

I personally think it is a convenient canadian distraction from the TPP and other globalist agendas but that is just me.
