Never married, or engaged. It could’ve happened, I let one go. She found someone who wanted what she did. I didn’t want kids and I knew from an early age. I also expected to really “want to” and didnt.

Life goes on. Next GF had been there done that, we were both older too. It was good to not have that pressure.

We parted and now I live with another. We’re pseudo partners outwardly, but don’t sleep together. We’d hooked up a dozen times before moving together. I was hoping that we’d get closer but it peaked and is definitely a purely a roommate situation, except that we still fulfill traditional roles instinctively. It’s cool, could be better and I think she’d agree.

It’s been some years now and we’re both in a comfort zone. I’m looking ahead, the loneliness rolled in and has lingered.....
