Honestly? purgatory would just the the world, but it would work the way that it is supposed to, that would fuck with people so much, yet they could still enjoy regular shit.

For example: "Karen" throws a hissy fit at the clothing store, where a tired undergrad senior barely manages to stay awake, after a week of balls-to-the-wall physics homework. Also, her final test is tomorrow. Karen, the lady who married some tool for financial stability and has never know real work, cannot fathom that there are people who have to work, since you know, you could always marry a guy who loves to talk about how much he hates you at work, and who can't wait to eat his mall-ninja, race-war fantasy gun after a drunk argument. Anyway, Karen pushes the young woman on her way to the customer service counter, she also makes a comment that coworkers and customers witness, stating that the shove was intentional and thus malicious.

The police shows up.

This is where shit would be different. Rather than immediately identifying with Karen (reminds him of his wife, whom he hates because she treats him like a decerebrate child), the cop, get this, INVESTIGATES OBJECTIVELY!

He finds that since student employee is part of the store's loss-prevention team, she falls under the "protected occupations: security-guard" umbrella of state law, making the intentional and malicious assault from Karen, a Moh-Fucking F-E-L-O-N-Y-! Karen starts flailing her arms, cops yells at her "LET ME SEE YOUR FUCKING HANDS" and proceeds to conduct an extremely embarrassing and dehumanizing felony style arrest, complete with leg restraints and spit mask. The courts do not give her bail for being a super predator (feigns victim status to get her way), and give her the sentence she is supposed to get: not some bullshit, downgraded misdemeanor charge.
