Dude, I was shoahed from PayPal last years for "reasons" I still don't understand. Although I am pretty sure it had to do with the fact that I was using my Ebay account handle as my name on the PaPal account and then that all blew up under ID verification changes they made in April 2019.

They even locked up my $ in the account for 180 days after which I still couldn't get it out. Eventually, I looked up and contacted their General Counsel, sent a very well documented letter, and was able to get my money, but still no account. Banned for life they said.

You have not experienced frustation until you have made 20 phone calls to PayPal support in India, only to getting exactly nowhere over the course of months. Then one well placed letter to corporate, and it's resolved in a couple days. Fucking awful -- if America writ large ever goes down this road of faceless banking as the only choice, we're all fucked.
