Truth is democracy is the largest form of government, it's essential each citizen the state, or short of that, each citizen a political unit, I am against Socialism because it's inherently undemocratic, it's forming a political alliance between citizens to further a political agenda through force of popular numbers, and frankly Fascism ain't much different, it's essentially nationalists forming a dominant political movement to override the democratic rights f the citizen.

Communism however is state control of the economy, although it is something each nation is entitled to institute I wouldn't recommend it, because as you say, it gives the state a monopoly over the economy, in that sense I am also a Capitalist, I support a private economy, but only to the border.
