Why?: * complex decentralized (servers access keys randomized, different very trusthworthy admins have access it at different times) network infrastructure created to automatically protect AlphaBay and its normal functioning even when there is DDoS/few servers seized. * supports multi-signature transactions. * Sybil attacks not possible or if possible with very limited damage. ScamWatch members (depending on their level of access) can determine with VERY high accuracy padding accounts and has proven itself by taking down/stopping in tracks many vendor exit scams. All Staff members, except Forum Support position, are part of ScamWatch and contribute to the identification and stopping of vendor scams. ScamWatch is proven to work and has stopped thousands of dollars worth of scams and recovered many funds back to victims. * all feedback/reputation is available to users in their profile. * each profile has multiple trust indicators - feedback, vendor level, trust level (algorithm which basically figures out the genuine activity buying/selling/sending pms etc. and credits it). Trust level tampering is detected by ScamWatch. * each profile has options to be trusted or distrusted. This affects the overall graph of otherwise exponential direction of each user as, roughly speaking, each member gets on regular basis unique 'trust points' based on many factors. If many people Trust the user profile, he/she will have quicker upgrade to next levels due to 'trust points' required to get to the next level. * each listing can have a Trust Level set. Only user profiles with Trust Level same or above can view the listing and actually purchase it. This means new vendors can instantly decide to work with users who have been along time on our market and set it to Trust Level 4, for example.

AlphaBay Market has interesting projects in the works to decentralize, transparency and offering secure flexible platform for small and big businesses. Now with our API the full potential is yet to be released, an example would be in future each user would most likely be able to download his own profile, hence eliminating the lost reputation problem. Currently, we are working to give even more power to community/decentralize market power than ever before with our latest forum changes which are to be announced in a few hours.
