Benefits of self-learning math

I didn't have the greatest education. You miss some homework and don't have money and they throw you away tbh.

Still, I cannot think of an advancement in our history that didn't come from humans self-learning so hard they learned something no one has learned before.

Terrance Tao had access to calculus as a toddler from a doctor dad and physics teacher mom. Oh to be so privileged. Again, there is an intelligence for how these pieces fit in our world. A bunch of mathematicians forgetting 20% of the rules and fluffing the rule breaker. Sounds like the race for atomic weaponry (/s)

Thanks internet for putting so much human knowledge at my fingertips.
