Career and Education Questions: March 30, 2023

Hello! I was unsure whether to put this in the Physics or Math sub, but I figured it would fit the best here.
I am currently studying Engineering physics but I would like to switch to Engineering mathematics. One of the most appealing fields to me is quantum computing and I, possibly, would want to work with it in the future. So, I have a few questions. Is it still possible with a degree in Engineering mathematics (maybe taking a couple of extra courses)? If I have to take extra courses, which ones? And what do you guys think the job prospects will look like in the next 5-10 years?
I know there are several posts about this topic, but I want to know about my specific programme. Some of them are fairly old and quantum computing has progressed a lot since then. :)
