Benny'€™s to close all 31 stores this year

No one in these comments, let alone reading this, should be shocked. You let your General Assembly pass RhodeWorks, you let Raimondo sign RhodeWorks, you are responsible for Benny's demise. And who else?

The tolling structure imposed on Rhode Island will do more to hurt its economy than to aid its ailing transportation infrastructure. Our roads and bridges were built by a vibrant economy left to use by generations past, but our General Assembly hobbled out chance to build upon the the two hundred years previous, by, since the 1970s strangling the various dynamics that made this city-state work. We have no more imports, because we would rather stave, than pave the bay. We have no more manufacture, because we stopped the imported raw materials before they even got to Rhode Island. We have allowed the Democratic party, at State, and at Local, to tax everything from cash registers to cars, and we wonder why Benny's is closting. Benny's wants enough cash left to retire in Florida with enough cash to rebuild.

Hindsight is twenty twenty. But Rhode Island Democrats broke all their mirrors for their political religion.
