Best player of every position that's currently in the league

Yeah thats pretty much what you are going to get. A more interesting debate would be who are the 2nd best players at their position.

In that case, I am going with:

PG: Paul (really close call with Westbrook, and you cant go wrong with either. But I prefer Paul's leadership and IQ, as well as how sound he is in every aspect of the game. Westbrook is unstoppable and his stats are crazy, but he gambles a lot on D and will settle for bad shots too often.)

SG: Klay (He hasn't had to be the first option like Harden, Butler or Derozan, but ill take him at second because, like CP3, he is sound in every aspect. He is efficient, can take over scoring if needed, but he can also accept his role doing anything else the team requires, passing, spotting up and killing from three, and most importantly, he can still guard the other teams best player if needed to.)

SF: Durant (cant really argue anyone else, especially seeing as how he upped his defense recently in the playoffs. That was the only knock in years past. Maybe his post up game? But even then, its not like any other small forwards other than Lebron can consistently post up and score. One can make the case for Kawhi or PG13, but I think any GM takes Durant over them any day of the week.)

PF: Griffin (this is interesting cus both Griffin and AD have been injured recently. But I think at their best, they are clearly the top at their position because of their versatility. I can see the case for Green, and he is also versatile, probably even more than Griffin because of his defense, and his willingness to do all the little things to help his team win. But I just cant see Green carrying my team if he was the first option, as much as Griffin, Davis, or even Aldridge can. Not to mention, his offensive game is nowhere near as good as those other guys, who can give me 20+ ppg and reliably score in the post.)

C: Marc Gasol (although it should be Towns soon. After Cousins, there seems to be a drop in talent, unseen at the other positions. You have dominant traditional centers like Drummond, DJ and Whiteside, but you cant really ask these guys to go out there and get you buckets or facilitate the offense. Not a knock on them, its just not their role. Marc can play defense just as good as they can, but he also can get his own shot in the post, and run the offense with his passing.)

So yeah, just my opinion on this.
