Biden Administration leaning towards cancelling $10,000 of student debt

Only real problem with student loans IMHO is the complete inability to discharge them through bankruptcy. There needs to be some reform that makes it easier to discharge loans through bankruptcy and if you have concerns about high earning professionals abusing bankruptcy laws to maximize their return as a moral hazard I don't think it's impossible to craft a legislative solution to that problem. But there are still enough people out there who are never going to escape their student loan debt because they made poor decisions about their education at a point in their life when people aren't known for making great decisions.

College is expensive but I'm not sure it needs to be that expensive. I imagine there can be some regulation that if the government is going to finance and back loans then the tuition needs to fund education more than a lot of the amenities that I've read universities are often interested in investing in.
