As for blackface. It’s a character from a Korean cartoon tv show from back in the 80s-90s. Characters name is Michol. Due to the name, a lot of INTERNATIONAL PEOPLE made a theory that Michol is based on Michael Jackson. Along with that, due to the dark skin, INTERNATIONAL people think it’s based off of black people. Truth is, it’s based on the creator himself. A dark-skinned Korean person who has Melanosis. Simply put, melanin issues. And they do exist in Korea, along with the rest of the world. To see a dark skin figure and automatically tie it to black people… I’m sorry, but that’s childishly ignorant.

Somewhat brought up Crush wearing cornrows and that’s being anti-black. Like really? So we should stop all international people who come to Korea and try on our traditional dresses and call them all ANTI-Koreans and racist? Like… it’s appreciating the culture, and we appreciate people who appreciate our culture. But if we wear fuckin cornrows, we’re being racist to black people?
