BLIZZURD PLISSS PUT NO LIMITS BACK!

Comment: "That will result in dead modes"

Then let the bad modes die. If no one wants to play fine. But don't take away my choice to at least queue for a mode.

Who decides what's a bad mode? I know many people hate CTF, I don't like it aswell, but I found its use by just playing aim-reliant heroes to warm-up against human players. Teams usually play really defensive so you'll encounter many small skirmishes that are pretty good to practice. If you die 5 times in a row it doesn't mean anything objective-wise. Score limit won't be reached anyway because of the defensive playstyle.

Elimination modes are unique in their way, so they may stay aswell. So we literally have to cut modes like Total Mayhem or No Limits. They are the least special modes out of all Arcade modes that are currently offline, and they are also the easiest to create in Custom Games so there is no immediate need to have a playlist.

Too many modes just split up the playerbase. You'll have people searching for Arcade Mode #17 and some for #21 etc., nobody finds a match even though there are enough players. So we remove game modes to improve the matchmaking of the other modes. After refusing to do it at first, games like Rocket League and CoD removed certain playlists if they have really long queue times because almost no one searches in a playlist.

Unlike them, though, Overwatch doesn't show stats about how populated a playlist is (it only used to). So only Blizzard has the data of game mode population. When we were able to see the population, it were always 1v1 and No Limits that were the least played Arcade modes, followed by "All Brawls" (that included Total Mayhem).

So either we accept that they cut lower populated modes or they pile up many modes in the Arcade which creates really long queue times and frustration.

the server browser is not a replacement for these modes.

It's not a 1:1 replacement, but you can create a room called "Total Mayhem" with its setting and you'll have people join, maybe not that frequent but it works for me.

I won't dig deeper into this for now but some people commenting on this subjects seem to think that they are equal to the Overwatch community as if the world turns around them, like their opinion matters and not the ones of, let's say, CTF fans.
