Bloodhound's Fang Builds

Got some Bloodhound's Fang builds for y'all.

DISCLAIMER: these builds are not absolute, they are templates. I will also not post the several variations of optimizing these builds based on stat-boosting armor, like the Okina Mask (+3 DEX). That is for you to do, and to research; I am merely providing stat allocations based on three levels ranges. As a final note, the Radagon's Soreseal is accounted for in all of these builds, so just add VIG, END, STR, and DEX by 5. I think that's the gist of it.

* denotes a level range used as a bracket of online play, so keep that in mind, REGARDLESS if it's 1-2 levels behind. Vagabond is arguably the best class for a quality build in general, but if you're intent on a level range and optimization, then go for a different class.

Moving forward, keep these things in mind: all the builds will feature 35(40) Vigor, and most of them will feature 20 Mind. Vigor is obvious, it's the first soft cap you hit, and anything higher until 60 will still net returns, but not as much. 20 Mind ensures 5 casts of Bloodhound's Finesse in its entirety (L2+R2). The L2 by itself does silly damage, stronger than your R1s, so you're free to weave those in your combos and connect with the R2 when it's safe to do so, and the L2 is also less costly on FP than the full skill, so more power to you. Endurance investment is doable/acceptable on the level ranges associated, with as low as 120 stamina to as high as 150 stamina, and remember that END increases your equip load. You can always settle for less if that's your fancy, but also keep an eye on your equip load.

STR and DEX are pretty straightforward. They pop off past 20, and then get soft caps at 50, and then 80. STR gets a 1.5x bonus when 2-handing a weapon, so 27 STR will go up to 40, and then back to 27 when 1-handing the weapon. You DO NOT have to exclusively 2-hand the weapon, as there will be times a guard counter or a parry will save the day.

25 Faith is for the Golden Vow spell, and that's only going to be present in higher-leveled builds, because we have enough "room" to invest in those points. Golden Vow does two things: an attack boost and an all-around damage negation, which helps your pittance for defenses because of Radagon's Soreseal. The level 80 builds can use the Ash of War version, for a lower duration and smaller effects, but functions the same way. Apply the Ash of War, then change back to the BH Fang.

Finally, 12 Faith and 10 Arcane. You'll see this on some variations, namely the ones that have equal investment into STR and DEX visually. This is for Bloodflame Blade, which can be applied on the Bloodhound's Fang. These builds are for powerstance'ing two BH Fangs, or one of the fomer plus a Blood-infused Dismounter/Omen Cleaver. These are your bleed builds, as a singular BH Fang even with Bloodflame Blade active isn't enough to apply hemorrhage effectively. Arcane DOES NOT effect the bleed buildup of the BH Fang.
