The Red Sox booth wasn't all that much better. They spent so long talking about how Cora looked with and without the beard that an entire batter came and went without comment. The female play by play woman loved him with it, the female colour analyst didn't, and they had to have a bit of a mini-debate while the game was on.

It wasn't quite as cringe worthy as having an on field interviewer who has never watched Star Wars, is proud of that fact, even obstinate, interviewing a bunch of Star Wars nerds for Star Wars night in Anaheim. For fuck's sake, you're a professional. Can you do even 15 minutes of leg work before your interview so you don't embarrass yourself?

I have to say, though, I like Hunter Pence as a colour analyst. His take on plays and the game is something I'd pay to listen to because you can tell he just loves the game, top to bottom.
