Sometimes it's great to actually play the objectives and contribute directly to the victory instead of indirectly :')

I have spaded a fair share of bombers. I think the appeal is that they are a bit more relaxing to play. Played right, some of them are also very efficient grinders (looking at you B-29A, Do 217M).

Since you're asking about AB and RB, I heavily recommend against playing bombers in RB. In RB almost all matches are won by team elimination rather than by tickets or objectives, so if you're taking a plane that has little chance of scoring an air-to-air kill then you're wasting a slot in your team for an actual fighter. Whereas in AB, the opposite is true: almost all matches are won by tickets, so bombers are crucial.
