Now, do we know all the facts? Was this boy, also drunk? Because you know what's not rape? When you consent to sex.
If a woman can't consent to sex while shes drunk (which is incredibly patronising, thank you) then neither can a man which brings me back to my favourite subject:: Feminism - the (not so) radical notion that men and women are equal.
Is it possible that he was also blackout drunk? I have been known as a party girl. I love to party, I love to drink, and I quite regularly drink more than is responsible. I am never promiscuous and even when blackout drunk, I've been known to use the big N-O quite loudly and obnoxiously. Theres a level of responsibility here that both parties need to take - and I for one, am sick of seeing ladies be told that we are victims if we consent to have sex while we're wasted. It's basically telling girls that if you drink, you can't be held responsible for your actions. Way to teach our girls to be independent, strong and resourceful, responsible members of society.
I have also had sex with men who were much, much drunker than I was. Does that make me a rapist? No, because I'm a moderately attractive 23 year old women, and whats that in my pocket? It's a "Pussy Pass" which is exactly the sort of stereotype that feminists (myself very much included) are trying to dissimate.
Whilst the comments are sarcastic, they have a point and the OP has made this point that I 100% disagree with:
I hear this one from a lot of otherwise reasonable people. One of these things is not like the other. Being the victim of assault isn't really similar to assaulting someone. You don't get to try to have sex with a blackout drunk person and go, "As long as I drink enough, it makes assaulting this person ok!"
Who the fuck has ever said that? And what the fuck sort of people do you associate with? If a girl slightly more drunk than you is asking if you want to fool around, are you really going to stop and say "oh, um. can you just take a few sobriety tests, so we can see if we're the same level of shit-faced?" Fuck, no. I don't even think about how drunk everyone else is. This kid, from all reports, did not take the passed out girl in the corner to a bedroom and assault her. He had sex with another drunk kid at party.

I actually think the points you've highlighted are reasonable. The circle-jerk of "extremist feminists" (bitter, man hating moles) on tumblr are giving feminism a bad name, and I for one, am fucking sick of it. I believe in women and I believe in feminism. I believe in equality, and I care about men because why the fuck would I want to be equal with someone I hated? But I also believe that Mens Rights Activists have as much as a right to fight for equality as we do, because societal pressure isn't equal.
At the end of the day, a young man felt so ashamed and horrified by someone telling he was a rapist that he killed himself. This is absolutely disgusting, and now his family, and especially that young lady involved now have to deal with the fact that he's gone. The fact of the matter is, this kid isn't a rapist, he was just a teenage boy who had sex with a teenage girl and remember more about it than she did.
