The way Russia would interfere with an election? It would never be SO FUCKING STUPID as to focus even 5% of their efforts on "encouraging or paying people to vote for their favored candidate".

Voter ID laws to fucking stop RUSSIA? You want to know what voter ID laws would stop? The 50%/50% corrupt voters out there. I fully believe that there are just as many Democrats as Republicans (or at least comparable in either direction) who are literally voting multiple times, or voting as dead people.

I promise you that even if the Russian Government is quite literally paying SPIES AND TRAITORS TO THE UNITED STATES to vote for their preferred candidate - it's not anything they could do on a scale to actually have an effect on anything.

Let me posit to you this way - if Russia paid or otherwise influenced literally one million voting citizens they only would have swayed a total of (roughly) half... of a thousandth.... of 1% of the population.

Even if... IF they managed to focus that 1,000,000 people in a cluster that would affect things... DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW FUCKING ELABORATE THAT IS!?!??! For NONE of a million voters to actually rat out Russia? For no one to come forward? No evidence? Nothing?

Now don't mistake me, I understand that you wouldn't specifically need 1 million voters, because a small % of voters came out in key districts and voted for Trump and turned the tide. IIRC the "working class white man" is the best way to describe the voter classification that turned the tide in the favor of Trump.

BUT EVEN IF YOU'RE SERIOUSLY FUCKING SUGGESTING THAT WE SHOULD HAVE VOTER ID LAWS BECAUSE OF THIS FACT, YOU'RE LITERALLY SAYING THAT "LOOK! REPUBLICANS WERE FUCKING TREASONOUS IN THE LAST ELECTION THAT RUSSIA PAID THEM OFF AND THAT'S THE ONLY REASON TRUMP WON!"
