A Brilliant Young Mind does movie math right

Does anyone else have any examples of times where a movie or T.V. show did a particularly good job in handling mathematics?

There is a scene in Good Will Hunting where the discrepancy in Will's innate talent and the Professor's is very apparent.

I've been lucky enough to work with some brilliant mathematicians. Sometimes it is difficult. Even though you may have been working yourself for years and decades, sometimes the discrepancy in natural thinking ability at the very top echelons of mathematics is clear. It is not a matter of practice or of work ethic.

There is this quote from Mark Kac:

There are two kinds of geniuses: the ‘ordinary’ and the ‘magicians.’ an ordinary genius is a fellow whom you and I would be just as good as, if we were only many times better. There is no mystery as to how his mind works. Once we understand what they’ve done, we feel certain that we, too, could have done it. It is different with the magicians... Feynman is a magician of the highest caliber.

I think it's a very accurate scene in that movie.

This kind of discrepancy isn't always obvious, and perhaps in the long run, it's not always significant. People who are not as sharp can still lead very productive research careers. But in the great rush to convince people that "everybody can do maths", let's not forget that there are some real monsters in intellect out there.
