I do not know. I dont know how to explain with out losing my anonymity so this might not make sense. I had a situation that was just my last straw regarding my ETL. Went to HR and only HR and my STL have brought the situation to make sure I was okay. Unlike you I actually found it odd that my ETL did not bring it up because I feel they should at least apologize or acknowledge they make a mistake because now its just awkward. There is no way to misinterpret what they said and we were in a room full of witnesses. I do not know for sure if there is a policy but I know I have heard nothing from my ETL or my TLs or anyone since just making sure I was okay and no one told me I was lying. So if someone told me it was a policy it would make sense. I have never heard anything around here brought up once it has passed not just in my situation but also others.
