Can an employer require medical exams for job and not cover the cost?

Oh no! Well, I assume you have state Healthcare for your delivery. That'll help.

File for UI. Get on WIC or Snap whatever you can. Save $$$ and keep your options open. Something might change or a co-worker might have a good lead for a new position.

Tbh, new babies don't need a lot. A few toys like a playmat and mobile are pretty cheap and you can find them practically given away at yard sales or FB marketplace.

A little portable pack n play with a double pad works just as good as a baby bed. They grow out of clothes so quick, buy them at Goodwill or yardsales.

Invest in diapers, formula and take care of yourself. Eat well, sleep do the best you can. You have at least 6 weeks to prepare!

Good luck!
