How am I proving your point? I have religion degrees and a great job. My degrees are directly relevant to human services and assisted in my career progression. I work in the not for profit sector supporting vulnerable communities where they are needed. I don’t think you actually understand what arts degrees teach. It’s not just the specific topic. The skills obtained in arts and social science degrees are extremely important and useful. A BCom or MBA would absolutely not have put me in the role I’m in now as that’s not what is needed for the kind of job I have. It’s also clear you don’t know what the study of religion is, as there’s no way I’d get a job in a church as an agnostic. Religion does not equal theology.
