I maybe late here, and since this question has been asked quite a bit before and there are the usual answers so I will give one that is a bit unusual and say Rocksmith 2014 remastered.

I bought it in the steam summer sale this year and have been playing it non-stop. I had kind of fell out of love with my guitar and not touched it for at the most 2 years but I wanted to jump back in and this gave me the push to do so. I’ve funnelled quite a lot of money into it since then, buying extra songs and song packs. I also bought Rocksmith 1 and the ‘import tool’ so I could mix songs from both games together. If you are a beginner, knowing nothing, you can do its in game lessons, practice games and then learn the songs. I went from a 2 year gap and knowing nothing to now almost getting a 100% rating Oblivion by Mastodon and Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen.

The game also really pushes you to practice things and recommends actions to help you imrove and it learns from you playing. If you 100% a riff, the next time you play it will come back harder than the last time until you are getting things perfect. It is a very casual game even though it is challenging and if you’re not really willing to put time and effort into it then I wouldn’t buy it, it does require some dedication.
