Can someone explain the appeal of old school 90s techno? Find it way trashier than newer stuff.

Those examples are acid house. "Jacidorex" sounds more like hard techno (soundcloud techno) if anything tbh. So neither have anything to do with what people think of when they talk about "90s Techno".

Look up Wolfgang Voigt, Basic Channel, Marcel Dettman, Jeff Mills etc. etc. etc. and basically everything that came out of the Detroit-Berlin-Axis during the ninetees.
