Can I stop reading Go after I realized the Beat writers I once saw as free spirits were actually just drunk college kids who dropped out of college to go live with their moms?

(& none I dont believe) SONEUTRAL , neutered, AND AND DISINTERESTED, without interest, WHY YES WHEN I CUM I ANALYZE THE SEMEN WITH A MICROSCOPE AND THEN I WRITE A SONNET WHILE WITHOUT FOGETTING MY SOCIAAL POSITION AND THE HISTORY OF WEST AFRICAN CUMTOGRAPHY WHICH PRESENTLY INFORMS MY EJACULATION. AND WHY YES I LOVE MY SSRIS AND MY ADULT SIPPY CUP AND MY DUMB THOUGHTLESS PASSIVITY

Anyways, sorry,

It's not psychological analysis that necessarily bothers me; it's the way the analysis is done. We're more invested in the label than the person. I disagree, the way I often see it today absolutely reduces people's experiences and individuality.

For an example of what I'm talking about, in one of my English classes we read a text of a mystic looking for examples of dissociation--out of body experiences. In the discussion we were fitting their experiences into modern medical categories. Oh this sounds like schizophrenia, or psychosis or depression. There's something profoundly soulless and alienating in all that.
