Tim Sylvia on Reebok deal

So your argument is that this deal is fair because the managers have a responsibility to negotiate more money and that in the short term it will be shit but thats up to them?

I can actually get with that. I do like that point. From what I can tell though the UFC has no intention of making anyone 'whole'. Like I said managers are estimating 90% of their guys are losing 60-70% of their entire revenue on this deal. When you have three kids and a stay t home mum to feed thats a big hit, especially when other organisations are at your door.

I agree with you in sentiment that it is the fighters job to buckle up and go get what they can negotiate. If a guy is making(lets say a low level) 20k for his sponsors per fight how does a 2k rise in his base pay make him whole?

I have actually heard that toward the FAR end of the deal the structure might go up but for the first few years it WILL stay as it has been put out thus far.

Believe me when I say the 41% average numbers are accurate not just speculation on people who know nothing of the deal. Media outlets cant release the full information until the deal kicks in but there will be full good numbers coming soon, I promise.

The UFC is making a huge amount of money on this deal and your argument is that it is the fighters fault because they are negotiating from a position of neediness. I agree with it. That doesnt mean I have to like it, especially when they are rubbing the fighters faces in it. I went on a rant the other day about negotiating pay at work and being paid more than my peers at work who do more and someone on here flipped out so believe me I understand.

Also, not being a dick but can you structure your sentences a bit better. That mess is incredibly hard to read and comprehend.
