Can we talk about siblings?

I guess I have a unique situation. I have three siblings and my parents are divorced. My two older siblings are half-siblings, my father had them before he met my mother. Me and my little sister have the same parents. However, my mother treats my older siblings as if they were hers. She calls them son and daughter even though she is no longer married to my father. As a matter of fact, my mom is a school principal and hired my sister as a teacher and was able to because they aren't technically related.

My older sister is currently a kindergarten teacher and leads a fairly nice life. She recently got out of a messy marriage and is better than ever.

I'm going into my fourth year of college and I know my parents are expecting a lot out of me and I don't want to let them down. I tried really hard to get an internship this summer but couldn't, it kind of made me feel like a failure but my parents have been extremely supportive and I love them for it. I'll make them proud one day.

My little sister just finished high school, got good grades and he headed to college. She's a genuinely good kid. I'm probably closest to her because we're fairly close in age and spent most of our childhood together.

My brother is the "problem child" I guess. He's 26 and has 5 kids. He's routinely out of work and his kids live in poverty. To be blunt, he's quite lazy. I go months at a time without seeing him and to be honest, I don't care. It's not that I don't like him, he and I were once extremely close. I just wish he'd get his life together. Everyone has tried to help him to no avail. He moved away and got a job recently though. Hopefully this is the start of a new man.
