If I'm going to be the most honest I've ever been, I don't really care if we don't get exactly the same Ash from XY. I do like this version of Ash the best, and I still do, but, I didn't realize this until now, that I only liked this version solely because of the design. I will say the in terms of personality, Journeys Ash is the best. He does have the shonen protagonist feel from XY, but he still acts like a typical 10 year old person. It's kind of like a combination of both personalities of Ash we got in different series. But the design is what makes XY Ash for me. The blue shirt and the long pants are all so cool-looking. I don't care if we don't get the exact same design, but at least have him wear long pants in the new design for the Scarlet and Violet Ash if he does go to Paldea. That would be more than enough for me. You give him long pants, and you pop on his personality from Journeys, and boom! You'd get the best version of Ash ever.
