Man, Leon's transition from game to anime was stellar.

  • He turned into a total goofball, which is absolutely a good thing. It made the "moments of levity for a super powerful guy" trope way better than the limited "pants with directions".

  • His unbeatable levels of strength are superior compared to his Galar-only game counterpart.

  • They really gave him the "lonely at the top trope" in episode 100. We saw hints of this in Twilight Wings when the child in the hospital said, "The champion. Is he really smiling?"

  • While it can be argued that game Leon was also meant to represent an older MC, it became way more apparent in the anime due to how much they showed how Leon is like an older version of Ash.
