I'm not saying I love dream or anything, but I don't appreciate the hate he gets. The cheating scandal was accidental. Here's an article on that.
Before he uploads a speed-run, many runs off-camera take place, with him losing a lot. The hunters are paid money for each time dream dies, so they have incentive to kill him. The one speed-run in which he manages to win and get some good clips, he uploads on youtube. So with the amount of runs he takes, you can expect that he'll be lucky once or twice and manage to win. Honestly, he doesn't deserve this hate.
