Chuck: "I sat and watched, and I was in shock. Like 'wow, this is the United States, and they're storming the Capitol.' And I blame everybody in the Capitol. That's who I blame. I blame that fool up there in DC who's president first and foremost, but these politicians have divided this country."

People arent ready for radical. Its never been this way. Our government works on generational change. Its a feature of our gov, not a bug. Its stability. The most destabilizing thing a democracy can do is switch from one extreme to the other every election cycle.

People want to say "Its obviously one party's fault" or "People need to stop pretending its both sides" , but the whole extremism is literally tearing our country apart. If moderates didnt exist, we'd be in civil war. And you know what? The people who most espouse this world view are the younger generation. My generation and its getting a lot worse with gen Z. And its because they grew up on the internet and are able to shrowd themselves completely in the echo chamber. They grew up in the echo chamber, so that someone with opposing views is very alien to them on an emotional level. Its a lack of empathy.

The older generation doesnt know how to handle it beause it shocks them too much so they outwardly lash out at it. But the younger generation "was born in it, moulded by it." They internalize everything they see and exist in the internet vaccuum. The younger generation has a more mature internet social system than older people. Thats why they look crazier. They didnt grow up with being able to connect with all their friends at the same time. Thats not even a thing now. Im being a little abstract about it I guess but im pretty high and got lost. Kind of hard to put into words.
