CMV: Bringing a child into our current world should not be an ability, but a legal decision that has consequences.

It's not about preventing childbirth. That's an impossible feat of policing that would make the war on drugs look like child's play. It's about bringing us out of a narcissistic trend we already perpetuate. This trend is dividing us more and more even though we are more interconnected now than any other time in history. It's a societal problem that starts at the moment of birth. If you do have the ability to bringing a child that will actually contribute to the forwarding of humanity then go for it, but if you don't have a stable income to provide for your child, you don't see community as a valuable asset, you are selfish and do not care if it takes the suffering of others to succeed, or are a racist, misogynist, bigot, xenophobe, homophobe, or any other characteristic that is often frowned upon then your child should be taken away in order to not allow the perpetuation of regressive thinking. Climate change and the estimation of what kind of world our kids will inherit is intertwined with our ability to produce only the best child we can for humanity.

The Millennial generation is already bigger than the baby boomers, and population growth rates would not stall because babies would still be born, again this is a matter of. Another thing to consider is the extension of both lifespan and healthspan. Less people will be dying per year than children being born due to medical science. Currently our global birth rate outpaces our death rate by more than double, and trend will continue. There is also more than a lot of evidence suggesting we are heading towards an even more economically divided world than where we're currently at and the Panama Papers are just the tip of the iceberg. Try raising a child in a world that is setup to systematically put them at a disadvantage, but tease them with tastes of higher society that say the american dream is real, and anyone can do it. We currently live in an oligarchy, not a democracy.
