He is being a jerk. And perhaps there is no excuse - BUT - as a teacher trying to survive distance learning this year there have been a number of times where I thought I might just loose it. No one has their cameras on, no one answers, no one interacts in any way. I have no way to hold them accountable. I have know way to get to know them as humans. And yet - I am still responsible for their learning? This year is impossible. There are days where I can let it all roll off my back, laugh, shake my head and let it go. Other days - the tears are just under the surface. Tears of anger, frustration, sadness. Perhaps this guy is a a full fledged dick. He sounds like it. But maybe it’s one of those days and it all spilled over.
