"All 50 states have statutory or administrative provisions authorizing the suspension or revocation of various licenses for failure to pay child support." OP: In what fucking way does that help?!

I fractured my spine and paralyzed an arm. It was operable and I was expected to make a recovery. This would take a surgery and up to 12mths of physical therapy to get my damaged nerve less painful and my arm able to move again. I could not work. Wasn't eligible for unemployment because I couldn't work, couldn't get disability because I was expected to recover. Missed 9 mths of child support payments. Had to pay thousands of dollars to get my license back so that I could work after recovery and then 5yrs later I was arrested on a writ of detainment when I called the police because my house was burglarized. Yes, the police came in. Took info. Told me to my face they were never gonna catch the burgler and the report was only for insurance purposes. Went out to cruiser to file report. Came back and arrested me. Spent 10 days in jail for a judge to say "you haven't missed a payment in 4yrs and you are currently paying back support as well. Released"
