Guys, this wasn't my own idea, it's just the first thing that came to my mind when I read that the revival is gonna have Beavis and Butt-head as dads raising kids. https://www.thedad.com/beavis-and-butt-head-dads
I'm actually kind of worried about this too, but it was Mike Judge's idea.
Mike Judge has been saying for years that he wanted to make a movie where they are older, maybe this is just that idea but more expanded? He is gonna be the writer and showrunner in this revival, so I seriously doubt that he would allow it to end up becoming a SJW cash-grab.
"Gen Z kids" doesn't have necessarily mean that it's going to be a cash-grab pandering up to "woke" people. There is more about the "Gen Z" generation that is those negative aspects. Also, I seriously doubt that Beavis and Butt-head's kids would ever turn out anything near SJW's, unless they turn this into a "I have no son" type of drama thing, which would just be odd.
I think we should give it a chance. I do wish that this concept would have been just a one-time thing in an episode or maybe a three-part episode, and that the rest was just them being 15 years old as usual, but it's better than nothing.
I think it could have potential to be hilarious, can you imagine those guys having kids and responsibilities?
However, the only thing truly bugging me is that I hope this doesn't mean that the continuity has to change forever. This is a cool idea, but I do hope it doesn't mean we'll never see them as kids ever again. Beavis and Butt-head will just always be 15 year olds to me, and I hope if they ever make a second movie or something, that it's going to just be the classic version of them.
