That's one of the main problems I have with today's society.

I personally believe that just because some people can't handle something, doesn't mean you shouldn't do it.

You say "don't do it because others may not like it", I say "do it, too bad for those who don't like it". I know a lot of people consider this being a jerk/heartless/whatever, I consider it to be normal and the intended behavior for anyone. Not because I want to hurt people or don't care if they're hurt, but because I absolutely cannot stand how today's society just caters to the weak.

Like, "fuck" may offend some people? Well alright then, just because an arbitrary choice of letters put together can potentially offend a few people, let's just censor every single use of the word, and make it a bigger deal when someone says it than when someone gets killed. Censorship only makes things worse. Nobody would care about someone saying "fuck" if the word had never been censored, but because it has, it makes it seem a lot worse than it actually is. What word could possibly be so bad it needs to be censored? It has to be really bad, right? Right?

Wrong.

This is what society is like today, don't do something because it might hurt some people. I say do it, and those who get hurt just have to deal with it, adapt, whatever so that they either fuck off, or learn to adapt. This, in particular, is what life has always been about for the past couple of billion years. Adapt and become stronger, or die.

That's obviously an extreme "example", but it proves my point. We are actively going against that nowadays, not only tending to the weak but also dragging everybody down to their level.

I'm not saying we should ignore people who aren't "strong" and just leave them to die or to fend off for themselves, but I'm saying we shouldn't entirely stop doing something just because a small minority of people will be upset about it. That's just not how life works, and that's why censorship pisses me the fuck off something unreal.

Just look at Steam: you can't even say "moron" without it being censored. Moron, a word that would literally not offend a five year old. Just because there may be one person out of 7.3 billion who may feel slightly upset by those five letters, nobody else should be able to use the word?

Whoever could possibly be offended by the word moron, you don't drag everyone down to their level, you just tell them to fuck off, because humanity as a whole will be better off without them. Now I don't expect this to be a popular opinion, but I really want to make you (and everybody else) understand my point of view, regardless of whether you agree or not.
