Is competitive really that doomed?

Imagine working a niche field with meh pay, long hours, risky and uncertain future prospects.

Granted, playing a video game for 8 hours a day isn’t that bad as jobs go. But given the pay and uncertain career prospects, I can understand how anyone who isn’t Super, ML7 or Seagull are doomers.

At this point, it’s clear OW2 isn’t going to be the cultural phenomenon of OW1. I’m doubtful OW2 will hit OW1’s peak, so none of the current OW streamers will be the next XQC.

Ironically, it’s the part time streamers with full time jobs who seem to have the most positive relationship with OW2. They play the game as a hobby and stream as a side hustle.
