It is Completely Normal if you care about Losing your Money!

I’m 100% convinced that when someone says losing money doesn’t affect them, they didn’t have much to lose anyway.

If the market dips and you lose $500, fine whatever. But if you lose $20.000 in an afternoon and it doesn’t bother you, you’re a delusional sociopath.

And no, I don’t think it’s relative either. Even if you’re poor, a couple of hundred will only get you more groceries, or rent for a month, or a PS5 if you feel like treating yourself. It’s not potentially life-changing money. Your daily grind will remain the same after your loss. But losing thousands can mean the difference between starting a family or not, or buying a home, or sending kids to college, or retiring early, or having the funds to start your own business, etc.

So whenever I’m reading something like ‘pff it’s meaningless to me, just buy the dip bro, ride or die!’, I just take it with a grain of salt. Always make your own financial decisions.
