Dreamworks be like

No, youre deliberately choosing to debate a point that is ultimately irrelevant to my point. And yet you accuse me of strawmans? Youre not a hypocrite are you now? If you don't give a flying fuck, then why are you arguing with me in the first place? You so desperately insist on focusing on an insignificant point in my comment that I have already clarified is worded badly. You continue to focus on said insignificant point of that comment like a man with too much time on their hands and an odd need to throw around a "gotcha!" on me, while ignoring the actual important point of my original comment. You're as bright as a grammar nazi claiming my entire argument is invalid simply because a grammar mistake was present. It is truly amusing.

My last comment with CrisDLZ says "They were planning for a sequel and that was the reason they approached Dean in the first place. Not to mention, the source supports the idea that there will no longer be any more major Httyd films." so stop twisting my words.

"You keep contradicting yourself, telling me "from the start" wasn't the point, but them in turn keep putting arguments forth to support it, like this one that you just made: "They always wanted to make a franchise that is unique"" No. My arguments support the idea that DEAN never wanted to make one from the start, DREAMWORKS did, which I clarified. Re read my comments again.

I use franchise because Httyd IS a franchise. We are talking about the same thing are we not? You folks sound like youre speaking like Httyd 2 and HW didnt come out yet. Sorry but, they did lmao.

Since they already changed so much about the books, they couldve made Toothless' death a significant driving force for Hiccup's journey. A completely different character wouldve been brought to life however, and Hiccup would be a stranger from the one we know. And I think this wouldve been an interesting take, a "what if" scenario if you will. But such a concept will never see the light of day unfortunately. The idea for Toothless' death not making it to the first script isnt a surprise. It was still an idea after all. Concepts that the writers brianstormed. A script is only written after the culminating iseas are plot outline is approved.

This specific Spongebob meme's format is generally used to make fun of companies, sellers, and shareholders in the market exploiting products with no consideration for the consumers, and only caring about the dollars. Not unfair to believe it implied the same thing here.

"You're just theory crafting and pulling shit out of your ass." Oh the irony. The only one doing so is you, dear. I've already provided sources that supported the idea of Dreamworks intending Httyd to be a sequel. If your goldfish memory fails you, I do recommend re reading my previous comments that included the sources.

Your definition of planning is skewed. Dreamworks has an entire team of writers that were part of the Httyd project. A confirmation for a sequel was out to the public only one month after the first film's release. You dont confirm a sequel that quick unless youve already had ample amounts of planning and were prepared to jump straight back into the project. Do you honestly believe they started from scratch on April 2010? Haha absolutely absurd. You don't keep options open, and not create a placeholder full of ideas for the next film. That would be poor management. Httyd 1 didnt look and feel like a standalone at all, and how quick they were to announce a sequel to the public only shows that they were ready for one and immediately start production.
