Resigning mid way through your first season at a club would be humiliating for any manager, you'd be seen as a coward. So we have at least until next summer. Also we may have been pushed to sign a defender if Terry didnt sign that new contract something people havent thought about. Why cant people understand that football prices have inflated and we dont go above £30m for anyone? We're not going to pay £50/60/or more for the top end players so the sooner mongs get that into their heads the better. All we can do is hope our players improve/hope the manager actually coaches the team and scout well to sign players before they reach a high price. Oh and if we didnt have someone who alienated players like KDB or opt for the likes of Salah over Griezmann we'd have players who are amazing starting for us now that were bought cheap. We got Kante and one of the best young strikers in the world. Even if we get Koulilabaly who has only had 1 good season what makes you think we can win the title against Man United or City? Naingollan is another 2nd rate player who is really average that wont make a difference. Our best players now are funnily players who we bought quite young and cheap compared to what theyre worth now. Hazard, Courtois..... we wouldve had KDB too meaning wed have a world class RWer too (something weve needed for years). I would be happy with all the players we've missed out on, none have been worth the money their clubs were asking for and none of them are good enough to make a substantial difference for us in a fight v City and United who have spend nearly £200m adding to already stacked squads.

And for all the talk about incompetence by the board Im sure there are things behind the scenes we dont know about and that anyone who complains about them wouldnt be able to carry out the role at all
