I'm guessing that western scientists are going to announce they are close to a vaccine in the next 2-3 months. You can't go by old timelines for vaccine approval. I mean, in the scientific community this is the Manhattan Project. So 2-3 months is my best guess. The good news is that as soon as they make the announcement that they are close to the vaccine, China will announce a working vaccine and have a few billion doses for export. So that will cut the wait time down about a month. Yes this is a conspiratorial theory. Self quarantine will do things to you. If I am wrong, I will delete this comment and go on with my life.
