[CR Media] Exandria Unlimited | Post-Episode Discussion Thread (EXU1E3)

In regards to some of the messiness of the first two episodes, and some of Liam, possibly looking frustrated that doesn't get talked about, is that quite of bit of it seems to be his own fault.

In a mini-campaign that doesn't have many episodes, his first act was to derail the GMs intro plot hook of a simple heist. The mcguffin that was supposed to get them started, Liam did his best to try and not be a part of it.

Then, once they did get it, his solution was to fuck off to the Ashari and find Keyleyth, which clearly wasn't any part of Aabria's plans.

It has become clear they were never supposed to end up on that little side trek, and his insistence on trying to de-rail what should be a mostly on rails mini-campaign has driven most of the aimlessness. He's used to having the freedom of open-ended time frames to explore random shit and Matt has the ability to take the next weeks figuring out how to adapt to that situation.

I'm not saying he's doing this on purpose, but he's putting Aabria behind the 8-ball in allowing the side-digressions and having her have to reign in one of the OGs sitting at her table. An unenviable position to be sure.

I think we'd all feel less frustrated if he would just quit sabotaging his GM.
