crime experiences.

Haven't seen any actual crime, been 3 months in Brazil, mainly SP and RJ areas. Felt safer in Buzios than in most of Europe.

Guess I've seen three things that were somewhat suspicious, in Paraty I saw a younger man walking towards me well after dark who reached behind his back and towards his waistband. He saw that I saw and he kept walking. Probably nothing, he could have been just as alert about me as I was about him I guess.

Another time two shirtless face tattooed guys gave me a good look at walkway along copacabana beach. Probably couldn't decide wether or not I was a local. I know there is petty theft and robberies there, just haven't seen it yet.

And a third time I saw a bunch of armed men around 4am in Rios Vidigal favela when I went through to get to Dois Irmaos to watch the sunset. They didn't bother me as alot of people take the same route to get up the mountain.
