The current era of StarCraft II is not the highest skilled -Stephen Chiu

mech wasnot a viable strategy compared to bio in the pro t v z. Gumiho(mech kning) never made it to the ro8 only after swarmhost nerf. Yes for lower league it is still possible but not in the pro scene. Name me one terran that make it to the round off using mech(before swarmhost nerf).

Speaking of swarmhost, Soo never used Swarmhost to advance to the gsl finalist round and he still made it. You are correct about the abuse of one playstyle leading to skillful gamestate. But in the end "good" players still could found a way to make it. But yeah that abuse will draw away the viewership for sure.

I disagree. The economy changes have made LotV less volatile than HotS and especially WoL. You have to expand faster and spread out more over the map, which opens up more for multi-pronged attacks and harassment in several places at once. This makes it more difficult to lose your entire army due to one bad engagement, since your entire army is rarely in one place. Most of the one-base all-ins that killed you if you didn't see them coming are also gone, since you can't sustain an attack from just one base as easily as before. More generally, losing workers early in LotV is not as big a problem as it was in HotS, since you have more of them to start with.
