Dad never came home from the bar. Ask me Anything

Random question that’s bugged me: when some deans say they know about difference in program difficulty and compare your GPA to others in your program, do they mean the university wide comparison LSAC gives of people applying to law school or do they get more specific numbers about university colleges/departments?

My university has told me that I’m the first law school applicant from my (small, new-ish, and STEM) department. While I know it will make no difference in admissions, I’ve been curious whether law schools will somehow either a) see that, b) get averages from non-law school applicants in my program, or c) get a broader comparison of law school applicants like in LSAC preview.
