Hey I wanted to follow up- I spoke to them and got a ton more insight. Cycling credit (while unintentional) was the issue for Chase and I have a blacklist of an uncertain amount of time... but I was declined for another one because of the 5/24 rule which, once I was blacklisted from Chase, I needed two new cards (one for emergency). Since then I'd tried Chase again a year later which was approved then closed, which is normal I've read for people in my situation, and opened a travel card which I closed last month since the year charge was about to come up, and a business card. That answers that! Thank you so much for your insight and advice.
